musical guest

GOAPELE

We are excited and honored to announce this year’s musical guest: Goapele is an Oakland-born R&B artist whose music blends soul, jazz, and pop into a sound that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. A Berklee College of Music alumna, she debuted in 2001 with the anthem Closer and has since released a catalog of critically acclaimed albums, including Even Closer, Break of Dawn, and her latest, COLOURS — an introspective exploration of healing, self-worth, and transformation.

Beyond music, Goapele is a passionate advocate for racial justice and women's rights, using her platform to amplify voices that often go unheard. Her music has appeared in major films and series including Hitch, Power, and So You Think You Can Dance, and she has performed alongside legends like Prince, Stevie Wonder, and Common. She also appeared in Ava DuVernay's The Door for Miu Miu and executive produced the short film #WhereIsBeauty.
