JacQueena Matthews Haynes works at Crystal Stairs - a place close to her heart - where she is dedicated to promoting accessible child care for mothers and families as they manage work and family needs. JacQueena first came to Homeboy Industries in 2013 and quickly moved from maintenance to working in the clock-in room. She has often said that Homeboy welcomed her through its doors without judgment and shared opportunities for her growth and change that she now mirrors back to people in her own life and community.
Isaac Gonzales is a dedicated leader with deep experience in re-entry services, where he has been deeply committed to empowerment, community transformation, and challenging preconceived narratives. At Homeboy Industries, Isaac was promoted to Program Manager in Case Management. He is now the Executive Director at Creative Acts, an organization working to transform urgent social justice issues through the revolutionary power of the arts. He is a lifelong learner and advocate for equity, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at California State University, Los Angeles. He loves being present for his family as a husband and father.

Jane Fonda, Homeboy Industries’ board member, activist and award-winning actor returns as our most esteemed Lo Máximo Awards host.

We are excited and honored to announce this year’s musical guest: Goapele is an Oakland-born R&B artist whose music blends soul, jazz, and pop into a sound that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. A Berklee College of Music alumna, she debuted in 2001 with the anthem Closer and has since released a catalog of critically acclaimed albums, including Even Closer, Break of Dawn, and her latest, COLOURS — an introspective exploration of healing, self-worth, and transformation.
Beyond music, Goapele is a passionate advocate for racial justice and women's rights, using her platform to amplify voices that often go unheard. Her music has appeared in major films and series including Hitch, Power, and So You Think You Can Dance, and she has performed alongside legends like Prince, Stevie Wonder, and Common. She also appeared in Ava DuVernay's The Door for Miu Miu and executive produced the short film #WhereIsBeauty.
